Most recently, I led the Design Research practice at Medium, leveraging evaluative and generative methodologies to drive insights, strategy, and prioritization at one of the most vital platforms for online publishing.
Previously, I was a user researcher for the digital agency Code + Theory, helping inform human-centered strategy and innovative design practices. I've worked with clients including Samsung North America, JP Morgan Chase, Party City, and nonprofits like the National Council on Aging (NCOA), and The Commonwealth Fund.
Currently, I’m actively looking for Design Research roles at a consumer-facing high-growth company.

As a Design Researcher at Medium…
- I led end-to-end projects for Medium’s research practice, working with designers and product managers to test new features, discover user personas, and identify opportunities to build on. Research helped us validate the value of features with users prior to launch, allowing us to make adjustments to easily find feature-market fit and gain adoption quickly.
- In one particular project for Text-to-Speech Audio feature, I leveraged survey insights from 272 users to inform upcoming strategic opportunities. I helped the Audio team prioritize feature support on Medium’s mobile app, leading to wider adoption across platforms. - I managed a research panel of 3000 creators and readers for quick, easy, and consistent access to feedback on new features, ideas, and designs.
- I conducted exploratory research to identify primary user personas for both readers and creators. These personas helped cross-functional teams across design, product, marketing, content, and engineering get a better idea of the users they were building for, making strategic initiatives more focused and impactful.
- I distributed knowledge and recommendations via reports and company-wide presentations, serving timely insights that level up creator growth strategies.
