I believe that a decentralized and co-owned internet is the future. After getting pilled in 2021, I’ve been participating in various web3 communities — learning, collaborating, and engaging with experimentations in community building and new methods of human coordination.

Previously, I was building an online food community as the founder of Caféteria DAO, and built online publishing tools used by countless web3 organizations as part of the product and research teams at Medium.

I’m currently looking to join a talented team building an impactful, long-lasting, and community-centered product in web3.

Caféteria DAO

I was on the founding team of Caféteria DAO, a decentralized network of food lovers exploring the applications of blockchain for chefs, workers, diners, and businesses in the food & beverage (F&B) industry.

Fueled by the co-ownership novelty of DAOs, I was eager to experiment with new formats for online engagement and community building. Caféteria DAO collided the hyper digital with the hyper materiality of F&B experiences, bringing online communities together through IRL dining events that continue the discussion offline.

What started as a passion project stemming from the eagerness to see new non-predatory technology implemented in F&B quickly gave way to the reality, uncertainty, and difficulty of DAO building. Through participating in Seed Club’s 10 week accelerator program (SC04 Cohort), as well as my own efforts to build the foundation of Caféteria DAO, I learned the complexities, challenges, and beautify of taking a DAO, brand, and company from 0 to 1.

what i did~

• I represented and led Caféteria DAO’s participation in Seed Club’s accelerator program, exploring frameworks, implications, and approaches of the unpaved paths of DAO building. I loved learning and working with my fellow SC04 cohort members from Boys Club, Colors DAO, Metalabel, Mochi, Muse DAO, SongaDAO!, and Thirsty Thirsty.
• I hosted 7 in-person community dining events in NYC, LA, and Denver, bringing together 30+ web3 thinkers to discuss topics in the space over delicious food and drinks.
• I helped determine the fundamental pillars of Caféteria and our core value propositions, pulling focus on content creation, IRL dining events, and community membership through NFTs.
• I served as the community manager, moderating town halls, discussions, and interviews for our small but tight-knit community of 500+ Discord members and 600+ Twitter followers.
